Time flies – and once again we’re presenting our popular Mug of the Month competition: a fifty-word text in any genre including two keywords, this time JUMP and NET. Nine members have accepted the challenge, and we can expect the usual difficult decision in the voting to select the proud new holder of this month’s Mug. Good luck to all contributors (from two continents and three countries!).
Everyone loves listening to a story, and we can look forward to sitting back and enjoying two new ones on Thursday, as well as a memoir on life in the 1950s, which will bring back memories for our more mature members, and might amaze those born more recently.
Four poems in four very different styles, one as Gaeilge, follow, and in between we can expect another wonderful song by Michael O’Dowd.
Congratulations to all our members for providing such a mix of genres every week!
